What is Macadamia Oil and how does it benefit skin?

Cold-pressed from Queensland macadamia nuts. The closest plant oil to human sebum in fatty acid composition — principally palmitoleic acid, which is the same oil the skin naturally produces but stops producing after the age of around 20. Absorbs without trace, leaves no residue. The finest carrier oil available.

Palmitoleic acid (omega-7) constitutes approximately 17–22% of macadamia oil, compared to less than 1% in most other plant oils. Because human sebum is also palmitoleic acid-rich, the skin's recognition of macadamia oil at the receptor level is near-instant — explaining why it absorbs so completely, without the occlusive residue left by heavier oils like coconut or argan.
