Roman Chamomile

Steam-distilled from the flowers of Anthemis nobilis — Roman Chamomile, the most prized of the chamomile varieties for therapeutic application. Rich in esters, particularly isobutyl angelate, which produce an exceptionally sweet, apple-like floral aroma. Clinically associated with reduced anxiety and improved sleep quality. Used in our Harmony collection for its profound effect on the nervous system.

Roman Chamomile (Anthemis nobilis) provides 100% pure, calming, deeply soothing benefits for skin. Roman Chamomile has a higher ester content than German Chamomile — typically 75–80% — which is what gives it the distinctly sweet, fruity-floral character and accounts for its superior calming properties. Unlike German Chamomile, it does not contain azulene, but its anti-inflammatory and antispasmodic properties are well documented and considered among the most effective of all botanical essences used in aromatherapy.
