Australian Green Clay (Montmorillonite) provides deep cleansing, drawing, detoxifying benefits for skin. Montmorillonite's layered silicate structure gives it an extraordinary surface area — up to 800 square metres per gram. When hydrated, these layers expand and adsorb (rather than simply absorb) ions and molecules. It is one of the most studied clays in both cosmetic and pharmaceutical literature, consistently showing high efficacy for pore clearing in clinical settings.
